We have had numerous jury trials in the U.S. District and the Massachusetts Superior Court. We have handled a number of accident cases with million dollar results, including an award of $7 million against Boston Edison.

We have successfully handled cases against local and state government officials and agencies involving the constitutional rights of clients. Our cases have addressed police misconduct, freedom of speech, and political retaliation in both state and federal courts.
We are proud of our record in cases of social and political importance, many of which have established new law. We have tried civil rights cases in the U.S. District Court and the Massachusetts Superior Court. We have had cases addressed by the Massachusetts Appeals Court, Supreme Judicial Court, First Circuit Court of Appeals, and U.S. Supreme Court.

We have represented both employers and employees in all facets of employment law, including sex/gender and ethnic discrimination, sexual harassment, employment contracts, non-competition agreements, and wage and hour law violations. Our work has involved cases in the private sector and the public employment setting.
We represent clients before the Massachusetts Commission against Discrimination, Civil Service Commission, Department of Employment and Training, U.S. District Court, and Massachusetts Superior Court.

We have represented both small and large businesses in commercial disputes, including contract disputes, property issues, trademark disputes, and shareholder disputes.

REAL ESTATE
We represent clients in real estate disputes such as easement issues, boundary disputes, disputes over purchase and sale agreements, zoning issues, and other land use issues.
Our clients have included homeowners, private businesses, and condominium associations.
MUNICIPAL AND GOVERNMENTAL LAW
We are experienced in practicing before municipal boards and commissions in the SouthCoast area, including boards of selectmen, planning boards, zoning boards of appeal, and conservation commissions. We are ready to assist clients with municipal issues relating to variances, special permits, and subdivision approvals. Our work includes appeals from local board decisions to the Massachusetts Superior Court.
Attorney Beauregard has served as special trial counsel and City Solicitor for the City of New Bedford, Town Counsel for the Town of Rochester, and as special trial counsel for several towns in selected cases.
We are also experienced in school law. Attorney Burke currently serves as general counsel to a regional school district.
INSURANCE LAW
We have extensive experience and knowledge in cases involving disputes with casualty and liability insurance companies. We have recovered awards for clients that have included multiple damages and attorney’s fees for bad faith insurance practices, including a case where the Superior Court awarded over $4 million.
